When we think of rose colors, hues of red and yellow or pastel tinted creams are often what initially comes to mind. However through the never-ending research of Weeks Roses gardeners are no longer limited to what some may consider traditional rose colors. Purple roses nicely compliment many colors in the garden. They can also stand alone to make their own statement in a yard. Through the hybridizing efforts of Research Director Tom Carruth, Weeks Roses has made several introductions in shades of purple and lavender including All-America Rose Selections winner Wild Blue Yonder. Wild Blue Yonder is a ruffled red-purple grandiflora with a superb fragrance. Clusters of blooms display unique lavender eyes in front of a background of clean, deep green leaves.

For built in, contrasting color consider Ebb Tide paired with Julia Child on one of Weeks Roses Twofer trees. Burgundy Iceberg is also available with classic white Iceberg as a Twofer.
