Large-flowered Climber -  Wine Purple

Like no other Climbing rose in color & style…imagine a dark wine-purple version of Sally Holmes blinking with bright yellow stamens.  Now you’re starting to get the picture.  The clusters of showy sweetly fragrant blossoms come on quickly, are very long-lived and hold that dramatic deep claret color to the very end.  Repeat flowering readily in the very first season, this vigorous beauty sends out long canes covered with clean grey-green leaves.  Gotta have it!

  • Height & Habit: Climbing canes 10 to 14 feet
  • Bloom & Size: Large, semi-double, in clusters
  • Petal Count: 8 to 10
  • Fragrance: Moderate clove & spice
  • Parentage: [(International Herald Tribune x R. soulieana derivative) x (Sweet Chariot x Blue Nile)] x Rosy Outlook
  • Hybridizer: Carruth - 2007
  • Comments: Repeats readily.  Very vigorous grower.
