Hi, Rose Friends:

I’m thrilled that Weeks Roses has asked me to answer your rose culture questions!

Despite what you may have heard, roses are really very easy to grow.  They’re different than most perennials because they grow and bloom all through the growing season, keeping your garden ablaze with color—and lots of flowers to cut— from spring until fall, this year and for years to come.  This, of course, makes roses the most desirable of perennials, but it also means that you may have to treat them a little differently than you do other plants in the garden.

It’s likely that many of your rose care questions will be answered in the articles and Frequently Asked Questions on the FAQ pages, so please check there before you e-mail your question.

Ask me anything you want about roses, but please be sure to tell me your name and where you live.  This will make our communications friendlier, and I’ll be able to make suggestions based on your climate.  Tell me how many roses you grow or are considering planting, and any unique soil, water, or other conditions that might affect the way plants grow in your yard.  Explain your question or problem as thoroughly as possible.  In fact, here’s a deal:  If you can ask your question so I don’t have to e-mail back to get further info from you, I’ll send you a present!  But don’t worry. Even if we have to correspond several times, I’ll answer your question or help you solve your rose problem!

So, go for it!  Ask Ann
