Prunus x 'Carmine Jewel'™

Truly the perfect cherry, Carmine Jewel™ has large, gorgeous purplish-red fruit with a luscious balance of high sugars and a complement of acids, creating a rich flavor. Fruit has high flesh-to-pit ratio and is excellent for use in pies, preserves, juice, dried fruit and eating fresh. Also, unlike the famous tart cherry ‘Montmorency’ which does not have pigmented flesh, this variety has a dark red flesh packed with healthy anthocyanin a powerful antioxidant. The pigment means your pies will have a deep red filling.
