White roses, the symbol of purity and innocence. A classic “color” which can be used to compliment other hues or stand alone as an eye-catching landmark in the garden. No matter how you decide to use the brilliance of a white rose in your yard Weeks Roses has many varieties in several different styles; from shrubs to climbers there is a white rose waiting to bloom for you this season.
If you seek a porcelain white flower to enjoy both in your garden and in a vase then watch the large pointed buds on Home and Family open up to a classic exhibition of elegance. This hybrid tea has long stems making it perfect as a showpiece in your home. In the garden, dark green leaves make a dramatic backdrop for the pure white, large blooms. |

Moonstone is another long-stemmed beauty. With a hint of pink along the edges these large white flowers make a gem of an addition in the garden. This is a white rose that even likes a little heat to bring out the best form. With a mild tea and rose scent swirling around these large blossoms and dark green leaves filling in as a fitting backdrop Moonstone is a rock solid performer in the garden. |

What if you desire a white rose but need to tuck it into a smaller space? Weeks Roses features two shrubs, Gourmet Popcorn and Pillow Fight, for your garden. Once you see the clusters ‘pop’ on Gourmet Popcorn you will know where the name comes from. With bright white petals surrounding a buttery yellow center, this flower differs from its namesake snack by filling the air with a strong yet pleasant rose scent instead of the aroma of a movie theater lobby.
Pillow Fight may be small in stature but it socks you with loads white flowering clusters. Fragrant bright white blooms load this plant all season long. This brilliant bloomer is slightly larger than Gourmet Popcorn yet fits nicely into spaces where you want to attract attention. |

If you have a larger space where you need a climbing rose then Sally Holmes is a white rose for you. This unique rose blooms in clusters resembling white hydrangea heads and grows 6 to 12 feet tall. Buff-colored buds give way to bright white open flowers with only five to eight petals. Sally may seem frail but this climber performs well even in heat.

Planting tips:
White roses can accomplish several tasks in the garden. If you have a dark-colored backdrop created by foliage, a dark wood fence or the paint color of your house, then bright white flowers will truly stand out. Use one or more white or light colored varieties to lighten up these areas.
Since our eyes tend to be drawn to light shades, place white roses more as a centerpiece than along the edges (unless of course you desire attention along a border). By placing glowing, luminescent shades in the center of a space, visitors enjoying the view of your garden will first look deep into the heart and slowly savor the rest of your plants after being captivated by the attention-getting white blooms.
For complementary plants think dark (to set off the light colors) or silvery to highlight the crisp white petals. If you have a larger garden, spacing white roses in different locations allows different areas to radiate as each plant begins to bloom.

If you select locations for your white roses where they can be viewed from inside your home you will be in for a treat as you watch the glow from the evening light add color during sunset. This glowing magic light transforms the crisp white blooms into radiant beauties. |
